LORAC Nude Necessities Palette (Swatches & My Initial Thoughts)

Hello Everyone!

Yesterday while browsing through my local Ulta store, I spotted a new LORAC palette! It's a new palette release from the brand consisting of 12 "nude" eyeshadows in a mixture of matte, shimmers and satin finishes. The idea behind this palette is to give us soft, wearable, everyday eyeshadows. This palette is very everyday and I appreciate the mix of warm, cool and neutral tones provided. I believe that the mix of tones allows anyone to incorporate these eyeshadows into a multitude of looks.

The packaging overall is very sleek, pretty and lightweight. One side note; if seeing visible fingerprints bothers you, be forewarned. You'll see tons of prints all over this bad boy.

The two photos above were taken in different lighting to show off the colors a little better :)

Swatch Time.....

So there's the swatches! I do have to admit, the pigmentation on some of these aren't as good as the rest of the LORAC range. This brand by far, is one of the best for eyeshadows...in my opinion :) So seeing some eyeshadows lacking just a bit, makes me kinda sad.

The overall tone is soft tans and browns. The last row is what redeems this palette for me. The last row (all shades above labeled row 3) are awesomely pigmented which I expect from LORAC. To be honest, if I look as this palette from the perspective of soft and natural, then it totally makes sense to have these specific tones with a more subdued pigmentation.

*edit~ 2/3/2016 ~ I've worn all of the shades and it really takes a lot of building to get them to show up. Some shades (i.e. the darker ones) don't require many layers but the lighter colors definitely do. This palette would be ideal for anyone looking for a very soft wash of color on the lids/crease.

Photo of me using the majority of the eyeshadows in this palette :)

I hope these swatches help if you're considering this palette.
